Four weeks ago, this horse ran impressively on the dirt mile, tracking the leader and then accelerating strongly in the final two sections to finish fourth, beaten by only half a length. A subsequent trial over 1400m on the Sha Tin turf sees the horse carrying an additional seven pounds this time, which is not an ideal scenario. Despite potentially similar times within the group, it has the pace to challenge for the lead and appears to have a good trainer-jockey rapport, though there doesn’t seem to be any specific tactical plan in place.
