While his record at this distance is six wins from twenty-seven starts, the competition appears evenly matched. An advantageous barrier draw gives him a chance; compared to other contenders, he possesses a notable strength advantage. The trainer and jockey have a reasonable working relationship, but his tendency to run from behind may hinder his chances as his finishing kick isn’t as strong as some rivals – aiming for a place is the realistic target.
