April 25th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 6-4-1), a slow start followed by a forward move, showing a strong finishing kick. April 11th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 9-4-3), another slow start but consistent chasing of the pace, respectable performance. March 28th (Conghua dirt trial 800m: 1-1-1) returned to trials post-surgery with an easy lead from start to finish. Ran poorly over Sha Tin 1400m in April, settled well but faded noticeably. After a long break, has had three barrier trials showing slight improvement. Another Happy Valley sprint trial recently, carries a six-pound weight reduction this time but drew a poor barrier. Likely to be held up in the run; however, finishing speed is not as strong as rivals and the situation isn't ideal. Fortunately, the group’s overall time wasn’t significantly slower, with some late work added before racing and showing positive signs in morning trackwork, potential for an upset.
