On 22/4, during another dirt trial over 1050m, the start was average and no effort was made in the final stretch. Five weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, the performance was very good; despite a slow start, he settled back in the field before accelerating strongly in the last two sections to finish second, beaten by only half a length. Two barrier trials have been completed with slight improvement shown. This time, no additional weight will be carried, having previously secured two wins over this distance. The overall timing within the group is good and a hold-up tactics are expected, relying on a strong finishing kick which makes it competitive amongst its peers. The horse has an advantageous barrier draw.
