Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed very well, settling in a good position tracking the leaders before making a strong late run with fast sectionals to finish third. He was beaten only two lengths and displayed a high level of form. This time he doesn’t need to carry extra weight; having secured three wins at this distance previously and with comparable times amongst competitors, drawing a favorable barrier presents a good opportunity. Compared to other horses, he possesses a clear advantage in ability. Horse and jockey are well-matched, showing signs of tension and readiness, however, the plan is to race from behind which may compromise his finishing kick as it’s weaker than rivals. Trainer and jockey combination appears less effective; likely to be towards the rear of the field.
