On May 9th, a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m saw the horse lead throughout and demonstrate improved stamina. Four weeks ago, this horse performed poorly in a dirt trial over 1200m, taking an early lead with a steady pace but lacking a strong finish. One barrier trial has been completed showing some progress. Now stepping up to debut at Happy Valley over 1200m, the horse benefits from a one-pound weight reduction and draws a favourable barrier offering opportunity for an early lead. James Orman takes the ride, having some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities; despite potentially unfavorable conditions and a trainer/jockey partnership that isn't fully established, a clean break should see them attempt to secure the lead.
