On May 16th, a dirt trial over 1050m saw this horse in positions 4-4-5 with some urging but no clear acceleration. Three weeks prior, in a similar distance trial, the horse settled comfortably tracking the leaders at a steady pace but lacked a finishing kick, finishing third beaten three lengths. A subsequent barrier trial didn't show expected progress. This time carrying only a 2lb penalty and with competitive section times, it should be able to secure a good position. Drawing a favorable barrier enhances its chances; the jockey has some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities, suggesting potential for an improved performance.
