On April 25th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 4-3-2), the horse showed a good attitude with both early speed and finishing kick. On April 15th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 2-2-1), it settled second, making a strong move to win in the final stages. Two months ago over this same distance, the performance was poor, tracking the leaders at an even pace but lacking a finishing surge and finishing well back. After a short break, two barrier trials showed slight improvement. Set to race after current training session, it will carry 6 pounds more this time. Having secured two wins over this course previously, with competitive sectionals, it has the potential to track the leaders. Capable of settling in front or mid-pack and boasting a strong finishing kick among its peers, the barrier draw is favourable. Ellis Wong takes the ride, familiarizing himself with the horse's capabilities; preparation work seems complete, and a clean break should see it challenge for a forward position.
