On May 8th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-5), the horse was urged forward with a moderate response. On April 22nd (dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-1), he broke well and led, being pushed slightly in the final two furlongs to maintain the lead. On March 25th (turf trial 1000m: 5-6-4), he was urged from the 300m mark and drifted inwards throughout. On March 4th (dirt trial 1200m: 4-5-6), a slow start saw him lose momentum around the turn, appearing unbalanced in the straight. On February 15th (Happy Valley turf trial 1200m: 7-10-10) he was urged around the bend but showed little enthusiasm. A recent trial at Conghua over 1000m on January 20th (turf trial 1000m: 5-6-8) saw a testing performance with an average response. An eight-hundred-meter turf trial at Conghua on March 3rd (turf trial 800m: 10-10-9) resulted in a clumsy start and relaxed running style. This is the horse’s debutant run, having commenced training after import to Hong Kong in late November of last year. He has undergone seven trials this season without showing significant improvement; further assessment following a race outing is recommended.
