On May 9th, this horse recorded (Happy Valley turf trial 1000m: 3-3-2), responding well to urging and closing ground. On April 29th, a dirt trial over 1050m saw him (3-5-6), tracking the leaders then running on flat in the straight. On April 7th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m (3-4-7) he jumped poorly and was keen early, failing to reach his expected level. This is an Australian import, with a MA288 predicted rating of 62. Three trials this season show slight improvement. While not visually impressive, morning trackwork indicates progress, and some leeway may be granted.
