Four weeks ago, this horse ran over a Happy Valley 1800m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders but with a steady pace and lacking a strong finishing burst. Another trial over a Happy Valley mile saw a one-pound weight reduction, however, the sectionals were unremarkable and he drew a poor barrier forcing him to settle back in the field. The finishing kick was not enough to match rivals, resulting in a disadvantageous position. Fortunately, he has previous form at this distance, with stable condition showing improvement in morning trackwork.
