On May 6th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-6), it encountered some trouble during the turn and lost ground while tracking the field. Five weeks ago, it performed poorly over Sha Tin’s 1600m turf, slow to jump and settling at the rear before making a mid-race effort but failing to sustain the run resulting in a disappointing finish. Two barrier trials have been completed without showing significant improvement. Switching to Happy Valley mile for its first attempt at this distance, it will carry three pounds less this time and is expected to suit the track conditions. A hold-up tactic is anticipated, with a strong finishing kick being its key advantage. Despite drawing an unfavourable barrier, the overall situation remains competitive and a place finish is possible.
