On May 20th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 1-1-2), the horse showed good early speed but was passed before the entrance to the track. On May 9th, in a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m (sections: 4-5-8), it displayed a flat straight run with insufficient progress. Five weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, the performance was poor; a slow start saw it settle towards the rear and despite an effort to make ground in the middle stages, it failed to recover and finished well behind. Two barrier trials have shown slight improvement. This time, the horse will carry one pound more weight. The opposition appears strong, making this a challenging scenario. Despite drawing a favorable barrier, a likely hold-up tactic is anticipated, relying on a strong finishing kick which may not be enough for success in this race.
