Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He made a mid-race move, attempting to close on the leaders, finishing only half a length behind in fifth place. On debut on dirt over a mile, he will carry a seven-pound weight reduction this time despite the distance being unsuitable. The tactics will be to settle back again, but his finishing kick wasn't strong enough against rivals last run and the barrier draw isn’t ideal. Trainer-jockey combination is not strong, however, drawing an inside barrier helps. Ellis Wong takes the ride, demonstrating some understanding of the horse's capabilities, and he is showing improved form; should not be discounted.
