On May 23rd, a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua saw the horse travel smoothly along the rail and perform satisfactorily (sections: 6-6-6-4). On May 8th, in a dirt trial over 1200m at Conghua, he was slow to jump but then tracked the rail well, also performing satisfactorily (sections: 4-5-4). Eight weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over 2000m on Sha Tin turf, taking the lead and maintaining a good pace in the middle stages. He finished third, beaten by half a length. After a short break, he has completed two satisfactory barrier trials. Returning to Happy Valley for a longer distance this time, he carries only one additional pound and benefits from an advantageous draw. The horse has proven form over this course and distance; however, his recent sectionals are not impressive, potentially hindering his chances and suggesting a likely trailing position.
