Three weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley 1800m distance, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking any impressive sections. He has since trialled over a longer Happy Valley course and will benefit from a one-pound weight reduction this time. However, his trial sectionals were unremarkable, and he’s drawn poorly, presenting an unfavorable barrier position. Despite being able to secure a good spot tracking the leaders, a winning performance seems unlikely.
