On May 27th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-3-9), the horse showed a lack of stamina and faded back despite strong urging. On May 9th (Happy Valley turf trial 1200m: 9-9-9), it performed poorly with limited improvement under pressure. April 29th (dirt trial 1200m: 2-2-3) saw the horse settling forward and demonstrating increased resilience. Two months ago, in a dirt track race over 1200m, it was very disappointing, slow to jump and trailing throughout with a steady pace but no finishing kick, resulting in a significant defeat. Following a short break, three barrier trials have shown some progress. Another turf trial at Sha Tin over 1200m now, carrying a 3lb deduction, potentially allowing for a good position tracking the leaders from an advantageous inside draw; trainer and jockey still appear to have confidence despite unfavorable sectional times.
