On June 13th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse finish between third and second position without being pushed. On May 30th, another turf trial over 1200m at Conghua resulted in a comfortable run on the outside rail. Five weeks ago, this horse performed well over 1800m on the Sha Tin turf, jumping slowly but settling towards the rear before making a mid-race effort and maintaining a good gallop. Two barrier trials have been undertaken with limited progress shown. Another trial over 1600m on the turf is scheduled; this time the horse will carry three pounds less weight. However, it has yet to win in three attempts at this distance and has drawn an outside barrier. The plan is to settle towards the rear but its finishing kick may not be strong enough against rivals, presenting a disadvantageous scenario despite comparable times within its group.
