On June 13th, this horse completed a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua (6-6-6), running comfortably without being fully tested. Five weeks ago, in a Happy Valley mile race, it settled nicely tracking the leaders with an even pace but lacked a strong finishing kick, finishing sixth beaten two lengths. A subsequent barrier trial didn’t reveal much. Another turf trial over 1400m was undertaken, and this time will carry six pounds more weight. The horse has yet to win in three attempts at this distance; the overall timing within its group wasn't impressive and it drew an outside barrier which is disadvantageous. While capable of tracking the pace-setters, a clear plan isn’t apparent.
