HEROIC MASTER

On June 12th (dirt trial 1200m, running in third along the rail for most of the distance), he settled comfortably in third. Five weeks ago in a straight course race, he showed impressive form, tracking the leaders and finishing with a strong two-section pace to secure third place, beaten only by half a length – a good performance level. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Another turf trial over Happy Valley’s 1200m distance was completed recently, and this time benefits from a one-pound weight reduction. He is expected to be held up for a late run, possessing the strongest finishing kick in his group. Despite having failed to win in six attempts over this course and distance, the overall pace of the race doesn't look particularly strong, however he has drawn an unfavorable barrier, but could still have an impact.
