Three weeks ago, over a Happy Valley mile, the horse tracked the leaders but faded in the final stages. He finished within three lengths of the winner, taking sixth place. In a subsequent trial over 1200m at Happy Valley, he will carry a 3lb deduction this time. While showing some form over this distance previously and recording good times with his stablemates, the barrier draw is moderate. Trainer and jockey have a reasonable rapport, with morning trackwork indicating consistent improvement; however, he's likely to be held up in the run and lacks the finishing speed of rivals, making his chances questionable and suggesting a trailing position will be adopted.
