On June 12th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 5-4-8), the horse was five wide on the turn and lacked power when pushed in the final two furlongs. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile race, it performed poorly with a slow start and settled towards the back of the field. It made an effort mid-race but couldn't close the gap and finished well-defeated. A recent barrier trial showed no improvement. Switching to Happy Valley over a mile for its debut at this distance, the horse benefits from a 4lb weight reduction. However, the distance is not ideal, requiring it to settle towards the back of the field, but lacks sufficient finishing speed compared to rivals. Despite drawing a favorable barrier and undergoing active work, it’s recommended to observe its performance in this race first.
