He finished fifth, beaten by one and a half lengths. Now stepping back to Happy Valley over 1200m for his first attempt at this distance, he benefits from a one-pound weight reduction. The distance should suit him and he has the ability to track the pace. While the barrier draw is unfavorable, he may only contend for a place.
