Five weeks ago, this horse ran disappointingly over a Happy Valley sprint, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a finishing burst. Another trial at Happy Valley over 1200m sees the horse enter this race with a two-pound weight reduction. The finishing kick was poor last time and the draw isn’t ideal, however, its sectionals were comparable to others in the group. Drawing a good barrier provides an opportunity to settle forward. A clean break is essential but if it jumps well and settles handy, a placing should be achievable.
