Four weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained a steady pace but finished strongly to take third place, beaten by half a length. This time he carries only one pound more in weight; while the competition is comparable, the barrier draw is favorable. The trainer-jockey combination appears solid, however, the overall situation isn’t ideal and the hope is simply to finish close.
