STORMING DRAGON

On June 17th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-5), the horse travelled comfortably in fourth and fifth positions throughout. Three weeks ago over the same distance, the performance was reasonable; a slow jump led to settling towards the rear, maintaining an even pace before finishing second with a good effort, beaten three and a half lengths. One barrier trial has been completed but wasn't fully extended. This time carrying a four-pound weight reduction, despite a poor draw in terms of timing, the horse will likely settle back. However, its finishing kick is unlikely to match rivals, making for an unfavourable scenario. Positively, it has proven records at this distance and appears well prepared for the race, suggesting potential impact.
