On June 23rd, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse perform reasonably well, finishing not far behind the leaders. Three weeks ago in a similar distance race, performance was below expectations; a slow jump led to settling towards the rear, with a mid-race effort showing acceleration over two sections and maintaining good momentum. He finished fifth, beaten three lengths. One barrier trial has been undertaken but wasn't fully extended. This time he carries a 2lb weight reduction and is in a favorable group timing wise. A hold-up tactic is expected, relying on a strong finishing kick. Despite having lost all three previous attempts over this distance, the current conditions warrant caution regarding potential misleading form.
