Three weeks ago, this horse performed well in a Happy Valley mile, settling in a good position tracking the leaders at a steady pace. He was challenged by Last Resistan and finished third, beaten by half a length—a respectable showing of high quality. Returning to Sha Tin over 1400m this time with a one-pound weight reduction and drawing a favorable barrier, he’s expected to be able to track the pace. Based on his ability, he appears to be the strongest contender in this race. He has been doing well in gate work and pre-race conditioning, demonstrating maturity and improvement since resuming training; a clean break should allow him to settle comfortably and contend for a leading position.
