On June 23rd, this horse displayed a dominant performance in a Conghua turf trial over 1000m, leading from the middle of the pack and winning comfortably after being urged. On May 30th, a Conghua turf trial over 1200m saw him gradually slow down on the straight, requiring further observation. A turf trial over 1200m on May 13th showed weakening form in the final section with limited progress. An April 25th dirt trial over 1200m after a short break revealed no significant improvement. Prior to August, this horse ran an acceptable race over 1400m at Sha Tin, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a mid-race effort but failing to sustain it until the finish, beaten by two and a half lengths in eighth place. After a lengthy spell, he has undergone four barrier trials showing slight improvement. He has dropped 33 pounds in body weight and is stepping back onto the Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a one-pound weight reduction. The opposition appears strong, he’s drawn an unfavorable outside barrier, and his chances look limited.
