Four weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over 1800m at Happy Valley, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. The pace was steady but he showed a late surge, finishing three and a half lengths behind in fifth place. Returning to Sha Tin over 1400m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the overall timing of the group is not strong and the barrier draw isn't ideal. The trainer/jockey combination isn’t particularly strong, however, the horse has previously won twice at this distance. A jockey change to Ben Thompson provides some benefit as the rider has a basic understanding of the horse’s capabilities, giving him potential for success.
