On June 24th, (dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-2) the horse showed good early speed while tracking near the rail but was overtaken late. Six weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile race, the performance was poor; a slow start led to settling at the back with an even pace and no finishing kick resulting in a significant defeat. A recent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. Now stepping onto dirt for the first time over 1200m, this horse will carry four pounds less weight but faces a distance that doesn’t suit its strengths and is not ideally positioned. Despite being capable of tracking the leaders, it's likely to be treated as a trial run.
