Three weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed reasonably well. He was slow to jump and settled towards the rear but showed a strong late run to finish fourth, beaten by half a length. This time he needs to carry one pound more weight, with similar timing as before, drawing an inside barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field, relying on a powerful finishing kick – considered the strongest in the group. He appears well-positioned and the trainer/jockey combination seems to be working effectively; expected to perform strongly.
