CHAMPION INSTINCT

Three weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, this horse performed poorly, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace but lacking any noticeable acceleration. This time it will carry one pound more weight and has drawn an outside barrier, which is unfavorable given its weak finishing kick. Despite having previously won three races at this distance, the overall time wasn’t impressive; however, it was able to secure a good position tracking the leaders, and showed some late work on the track, but doesn't appear to have a clear plan for success.
