Two weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Sha Tin 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. It made progress in the middle stages with a strong effort but was beaten two and a half lengths, finishing fifth. In its latest trial over 1200m on the turf, it will carry one pound more this time and has drawn an outside barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field again, however, the finishing kick wasn’t as strong as its rivals, making for an unfavourable situation; even with comparable sectionals, a winning opportunity hasn’t presented itself.
