On August 25th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m, the horse settled mid-pack and responded well to prompting with good pace. This is his debut run this season. After one barrier trial, he showed slight improvement. Moving up in class for this race, he benefits from an 18lb weight reduction. He has previous form over this distance and recorded good times against similar opposition. He appears capable of leading and the draw isn’t unfavourable; having been well-prepared, a clean break should see him forward enough to compete for a place.
