On August 25th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse positioned mid-pack and launch a strong finishing sprint from 300m out with impressive momentum. Returning after a spell, this will be his seasonal debut. One barrier trial has been completed showing slight improvement. Dropping in class for this race, it’s a return to racing over the straight course for the first time. He carries one pound more this time. Despite five wins from twenty starts over this distance, the overall time is respectable and a hold-up tactic is expected given his strong finishing kick compared to others in the field. However, he has drawn a poor barrier which impacts his chances; a conservative start may be necessary.
