Having run a turf trial over 1000m on August 30th (sections of 3-3-8), the horse showed little stamina under pressure and faded back. This is his seasonal debut, and after one barrier trial showing no improvement, he’s stepping up to race in a straight course event following a class drop. He will carry an 18lb penalty this time out over a distance that doesn't suit him. Expecting to be held up in the run, but lacking a strong finishing kick, the horse faces unfavorable conditions despite drawing a good barrier and is considered primarily as a trial run.
