On August 29th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 8-6-2), the horse showed consistent improvement, making up ground well. On August 21st (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-1) he took the lead in the final 400m with ease. This will be his seasonal debut. Two barrier trials have shown slight progress. In a previous Happy Valley mile, this horse will carry five pounds less this time but has failed to win in three attempts over this distance. He needs to be held back and run from behind, however the finishing kick wasn’t strong enough against rivals. The horse's current form is not ideal, and there appears to be a lack of synergy between trainer and jockey. Despite a reasonable overall time within the group, drawing a good barrier and with Keith Yeung taking the reins, who understands the horse’s temperament, there remains limited opportunity."
