On August 25th, this horse showed a smooth and comfortable performance in a dirt trial over 1200m at Conghua, winning easily. This will be the horse’s seasonal debut. A subsequent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. The horse has lost twenty-four pounds of body weight and is now trialling over 1200m at Happy Valley with a two-pound claim this time. Having shown previous form over this distance and drawing a favorable barrier, he demonstrates a higher level of ability compared to other contenders. Matthew Poon will take the ride, having a good understanding of the horse’s temperament. Morning trackwork has indicated some progress, although the trial sectionals were not impressive. While expected to be held up in this race, the finishing kick may not match rivals, and the current form isn't ideal. The trainer-jockey combination appears less harmonious.
