On August 29th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 5-4-4) he tracked the leaders and showed good form, maintaining strong condition. This is his seasonal debut after two barrier trials which were considered insufficient preparation. He's stepping up in class to race over a Sha Tin 1200m turf distance this time with a 15lb weight reduction, posting a reasonable time relative to other horses in the same group, but drawing an outside barrier. The tactics will likely involve settling back in the field, although his finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete with rivals. Despite this potential disadvantage and previous records on this distance, trainer and jockey are working well together. Further improvement is still needed.
