On September 18th, this horse recorded a strong dirt trial over 1050m at Conghua (2-2-2), showing good effort throughout. Three weeks ago, in a Sha Tin turf mile race, the performance was reasonable despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear. It made progress during the middle stages with sustained pressure but finished eighth, beaten two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed satisfactory form. Returning to Hong Kong for its first dirt race over 1200m, this time it will carry one pound less weight. The horse has proven records at this distance, with comparable times in the group, demonstrating ability to track the pace-setters. Although drawing an unfavorable outside barrier, a clean jump and commitment to follow the leaders are key for a forward run.
