On September 12th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse settle second tracking the leaders and maintain a strong pace with energy to spare. On August 29th, another turf trial over 1000m at Conghua resulted in a slightly slow jump but an otherwise satisfactory performance. This is the horse's debut run as a newcomer; it began training locally in early February. Two barrier trials have been conducted this season with reasonable showings – exhibiting a low-action stride and suited to sprints, straight course racing and 1200m distances, though yet to demonstrate full power. This race marks its first start, therefore considered a trial run only.
