On September 8th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse lead comfortably but faded towards the finish, winning narrowly. On August 25th, another turf trial over 1000m at Conghua showed a fast pace in the first two sections before weakening significantly and dropping back. Returning from a long break, this is the horse’s seasonal debut. Two barrier trials have been undertaken showing slight improvement. Stepping up in class to contest a straight course race again, the horse benefits from a 9lb weight reduction. Time comparisons against other horses in the same group are unfavorable. Despite four wins from thirteen attempts over this distance, drawing a good barrier and the potential for an early lead, trainer and jockey remain cautiously optimistic about its chances.
