Two weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and showing strong acceleration. He finished second, beaten by half a length. Another trial over Sha Tin 1200m sees him carrying only one pound more this time, with competitive sectionals within the group. He is capable of tracking the pace-setters and can lead if required, drawing an advantageous inside barrier which improves his chances. Compared to other runners, he possesses a relative strength advantage; the jockey has some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities, and trainer/jockey relationship is solid. A clean jump should see him comfortably challenge for a forward position.
