On October 10th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections: 2-2-1), the horse travelled tracking the leaders and finished strongly with urging to win. Four weeks ago in the same distance race, it performed poorly, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with a steady pace but lacking a finishing burst. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time, carrying one pound less weight, having proven form over this distance, and with comparable times within its group, a hold-up tactic is expected emphasizing a strong finishing kick – it appears to be the strongest closer in the field. The horse has favorable conditions despite drawing an outside barrier; however, trainer/jockey relationship isn’t ideal, making it a dark horse contender.
