He made a late run to finish third, beaten by one and a half lengths. Another trial over a Happy Valley 1200m distance saw him receive a four-pound weight reduction this time. Having won four of seventeen races at this distance, he is capable of settling in a good position tracking the leaders, has drawn a favorable barrier, and is showing positive signs. Despite some inconsistent form from horses in the same group, his finishing kick remains questionable and overall prospects are uncertain but could still surprise.
