On November 28th, this horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 9-8-10), showing a slightly awkward stride during the straight. Four weeks ago, he ran poorly over a Sha Tin 1400m turf track, with a slow start and settling towards the rear of the field at an even pace but lacking a finishing kick. A subsequent barrier trial did not reveal significant improvement. Now switching to a Happy Valley mile for his debut distance, he benefits from a two-pound weight reduction, however, this distance is unlikely to suit him and he has drawn a poor barrier which doesn’t favour his chances; considered as a trial run only.
