ORIENTAL SURPRISE

Three weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, the performance was poor with a slow start and settling towards the rear. Maintaining a steady pace throughout, it lacked a finishing burst but wasn't beaten far, losing by three and a half lengths for sixth place. This time there is no weight reduction; although its group timing isn’t significantly slower, it should be able to secure a good position tracking the leaders. The barrier draw is favorable and trainer-jockey combination is reasonable, however, its finishing kick remains a concern and is best suited as a supporting role.
