Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley 1200m, with a slow start but finishing well after settling towards the rear. He showed good late speed and was beaten two and a half lengths, finishing seventh. Returning to dirt over 1200m this time without any weight reduction, he has previous form over this distance and strong times within his group. The plan is to settle back in the field and rely on a strong finishing kick – which is his strength compared to other contenders. The horse appears well-positioned for success based on current ability, considered the most impressive runner in this race. Alexis Badel takes the ride, forming a good partnership with both horse and trainer; he’s a strong contender.
