Four weeks ago, this horse ran a solid race over a Happy Valley sprint, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace. He was overtaken by Last Winner in the final stages and finished second, beaten by half a length. A subsequent dirt trial over 1200m sees him carrying only a three-pound penalty this time around, drawing a favorable barrier and potentially able to take the lead. Compared to the rest of the field, his ability is superior; trainer and jockey are working well together, despite previous concerns regarding finishing kick. A clean break should see him push for an early lead.
